Introducing the 2025-26 Star-Telegram Boys Basketball Player of the Year
Introducing the 2025-25 Fort Worth Star-Telegram Boys High School Basketball Player of the Year:
North Crowley junior guard Isaak Hayes
Hayes led North Crowley to a Class 6A Division I state championship win, its first since 2008, averaging 18.37 points, 2.47 rebounds and 4.74 assists per game. He set the pace and the tone for an area leading North Crowley offense.
Hayes, who has offers from K-State, TCU and more, shot 37.2% from 3-point distance, taking and making shots from NBA range. He also shoots 86% from the free-throw line.
With a blend of skill, shot making, quickness and a high motor, he commands the defense’s attention. Hayes was named the Class 6A Division I state championship MVP and earned Texas Association of Basketball Coaches All-State honors.
He was named the District 3-6A Most Valuable Player and also made Reagan Rattler and Beach Ball Classic All-Tournament Teams. He was part of a dangerous one-two punch alongside forward Trey Hall, an All-Area First Team selection who was also extremely valuable to North Crowley’s overall success.
