Justin Northwest track phenom Cooper Lutkenhaus added to his long list of accomplishments Sunday at the Millrose Games in New York.

He broke the under-20 world record in the 600 meters with a time of 1:14.15, becoming the fifth-fastest American in the event’s history at 17 years old.

Just one week before, Lutkenhaus set a U20 American record in the indoor 800 meters.

In August, Lutkenhaus made headlines when he lowered his 800-meter personal record by over three seconds to set a U18 world record and a U20 U.S. record at the U.S. track championships. He qualified for the World Athletics Championships in Tokyo and was eliminated in the heats.

He then gave up his remaining high school eligibility to sign with Nike and turn pro.
