Mansfield Summit class of 2027 four-star edge announces commitment

One of the best defensive prospects in the Fort Worth area has pledged his talents to Texas.

Mansfield Summit defensive end Cameron Hall committed to the Longhorns on Wednesday, announcing the news on social media. Hall is a 247Sports three-star prospect and commands a four-star composite ranking.

According to 247Sports, he is the No. 27 edge prospect nationwide, while On3 has him ranked at No. 24.

Hall solidified his status as one of the top defenders in the area with a junior season that earned him Star-Telegram All-Area Second Team honors. He posted 18 tackles for a loss and 10 sacks en route to being named the District 3-5A Division II Defensive Player of the Year.

Hall, with a 6-foot-4, 250 pound frame, had offers from some of the best programs in the nation, including Baylor, LSU, Michigan, Oklahoma, TCU, Texas Tech, Texas A&M and SMU.

He is a multisport athlete with experience in track and field events such as shot put and discus.
