Introducing the 2024-25 Star-Telegram girls’ high school basketball Super Team. See the elite Fort Worth-area players who made the first, second, and third-teams, as well as honorable mentions.
Individual Awards
Player of the Year: Camille Williams, FW Boswell
Defensive Player of the Year: Haleigh Jackson, FW Boswell
Offensive Player of the Year: Bralyn Peck, Decatur
Co-Newcomer of the Year: Laney Hudson, Brock
Co-Newcomer of the Year: Style Brazile, Decatur
Coach of the Year: John Reese, FW Boswell
All-Area First Team
Jamari Milton, North Crowley
Jamari Milton, a 5-foot-8 junior guard, led North Crowley to a 27-9 record and a regional final appearance in Class 6A Division 1. She averaged 11.9 points, 4.6 rebounds, 1.8 assists and 2 steals. She earned Texas Association of Basketball Coaches All-State and All-Region honors.
Madison Crawford, Mansfield Legacy
Madison Crawford won the Offensive Player of the Year award in a highly competitive District 3-6A, averaging 20 points per game. She also posted 5 rebounds, 3 steals, shot 82% from the free throw line and broke the school record for three-pointers in a season with 93 made. She earned a TABC All-Region selection.
Alexis Rynders, Glen Rose
Alexis Rynders, a 5-foot-10 Tarleton State commit, has had a terrific career, earning TABC All-Region honors in four varsity seasons. As a senior, she averaged 18.4 points, 6.1 rebounds, 1.8 assists, 2.1 steals en route to District 6-4A Co-MVP honors.
She helped lead Glen Rose to the state semifinals after the Tigers captured an undefeated district title.
Lily Melton, Glen Rose
Lily Melton, a senior Grayson College commit, averaged 17.4 points, 3.1 rebounds and 1.9 assists for the Glen Rose Tigers. She was named the District 6-4A Co-MVP, and similar to Rynders, is a four-time TABC All-Region selection.
Her perimeter defense stands out; Melton averaged 4.9 steals per game.
Belle Ratliff, Byron Nelson
Belle Ratliff, in a historic season for Byron Nelson, was the driving force of the Bobcats’ success. She averaged 18.2 points, 10 rebounds, 1.7 blocks, 2.2 assists and 1.6 steals per game, punching the stat sheet on the way to District 4-6A MVP honors.
While shooting an efficient 59%, Ratliff led the Bobcats to an undefeated District 4-6A title and a 25-9 overall record.
Adriana Robles, Fossil Ridge
Adriana Robles, a senior guard signed to play with UTSA, reached over 2,000 points in her career. As a senior, she averaged 21.3 points, 5.3 rebounds, 5.1 assists and 3.5 steals. She is a TABC All-Region selection and earned District 5-5A MVP honors.
All-Area Second Team
Mecca Crawford, North Crowley
Mecca Crawford, a 6-foot-3 forward and post, averaged 10.8 points and 6.35 rebounds per game for the Panthers. She made the TABC All-Region team, helping lead North Crowley to the regional finals and a 27-9 record.
Julie Kasonga, Brewer
Julie Kasonga averaged 16 points, 8.3 rebounds and played fantastic defense to earn the District 5-5A Defensive MVP award. She helped lead Brewer to the regional semifinals, where the Bears fell to Lubbock Monterey, the eventual state champion.
Whitney Jense, Southlake Carroll
After losing a ton of talent, Southlake Carroll needed someone to step up and lead the way. Sophomore forward Whitney Jense rose to the occasion, averaging 17.7 points, 7.8 rebounds, 3.3 assists and 3.6 steals. She was named the District 4-6A Offensive Player of the Year.
Jillian Topping, Timber Creek
Jillian Topping led the Falcons to a strong 24-11 record, averaging 11.6 points, 1.3 assists, 5.2 rebounds and 1.5 steals. Topping, a junior guard, earned First Team All-District and also TABC All-Region honors.
Kaitlyn Knaub, Colleyville Covenant Christian
Knaub, a senior scoring machine, led Colleyville Covenant to a first-place finish in TAPPS District 2-4A. She averaged 25 points, 8 rebounds, and 2 steals a game this season. She was the District MVP and earned First Team All-State and All-District honors.
Megan Snow, Haltom
Megan Snow was a defensive force for the Buffaloes as a senior. She broke the Haltom career steals record with 337 in four years. She averaged 18 points, 5 steals, 4 deflections and 6 rebounds per game en route to District 8-6A Offensive MVP honors. Snow is the first player in school history to record consecutive 30-point games.
All-Area Third Team
Keira Matthews, Brock
Matthews, a senior forward, earned District Offensive MVP honors by averaging 15.4 points, 9.8 rebounds, 3.4 assists and 3.1 steals per game. She led Brock to the regional finals and a 25-10 overall record.
Aolani Woldai, Brewer
Aolani Woldai had a super impactful season, averaging 16.1 points and 5.8 rebounds for the Bears. She was named the District 5-5A Offensive MVP and made the TABC All-Region team.
Elizabeth Griffin, Aledo
Elizabeth Griffin, a junior guard, earned First Team All-District honors, averaging 13 points, 4 assists, and 3 rebounds per game. She led Aledo to its first regional semifinal since the 2015 season and is a TABC All-Region selection.
Dani Milliner, Mansfield Timberview
Timberview had a solid season, with senior Dani Milliner leading the charge. She was named the District 8-5A Offensive Player of the Year and also earned a TABC All-Region selection. Milliner averaged 12 points, 3.8 rebounds and 1.2 assists in one of Texas’ toughest districts.
Lily Sheppard, Mansfield Summit
Sheppard, a junior wing, led Summit to an undefeated district championship and a 30-6 overall record. She earned District 8-5A Newcomer of the Year honors and also a TABC All-Region selection.
Seleste Massey, Fort Worth Boswell
Massey was a key player in Boswell’s Class 6A Division 2 championship run. She averaged 12 points, 4.4 rebounds, 2 assists and 2 steals to help lead the Pioneers to an undefeated district title. Massey was named the championship game MVP after scoring 16 points on 7 of 12 shot attempts.
Presley Calhoun, Ponder
Presley Calhoun stuffed the stat sheet for the Lions with 16.8 points, 5.8 rebounds, 3.7 assists and 3.1 steals. She led Ponder to a 28-5 overall record, an undefeated district championship and an area round playoff appearance.
Calhoun was named the District 10-3A MVP and is signed with Southeastern Oklahoma University.
