North Crowley football star players announce college commitments. Where will they play?
North Crowley linebacker Jonathan Cunningham announced his commitment to Texas on Friday.
Cunningham, a Fort Worth All-Area First Team selection, is 247Sports’ No. 50 player in Texas and was a key player in the Panthers’ run to the Class 6A Regional Finals. Finalists that he considered includes TCU and Utah.
Cunningham has a 6-foot-3, 190 pound frame, and is set play a large role as a senior with North Crowley in the 2024 high school football season. In 2023, Cunningham was a unanimous District 3-6A First Team selection.
He is the 13th Longhorns class of 2025 recruit to commit and joins four-star Dallas Skyline linebacker Elijah Barnes.
Quarterback Chris Jimerson Jr. commits to UNT
North Crowley football star Chris Jimerson Jr. wants to be a college quarterback.
To find an opportunity as a signal caller, he decommit from TCU, a school that recruited him as a wide receiver. On Friday, he announced his commitment to the University of North Texas. Texas State, Louisiana and Arkansas State and UNT are finalists.
Jimerson led North Crowley to the Class 6A Regional Finals in 2023, cementing the Panthers as a powerhouse in Texas High School football while representing Fort Worth. Jimerson, the District 3-6A MVP, stuffed the stat sheet with 3,031 passing yards and 1,089 rushing yards.
Jimerson, the Star-Telegram Player of the Year, threw 40 touchdown passes and ran for 12 more.
Former TCU quarterback and Highland Park product Chandler Morris is a quarterback at UNT and has two seasons of eligibility remaining.
