Looking for a good high school football game to watch in Week 8, but don’t want to travel far.

We have the top games in the Fort Worth area right here:

Aledo (5-2, 5-0) vs. Burleson Centennial (6-0, 4-0)

7 p.m. Friday, Burleson ISD Stadium

The Centennial Spartans continue to have their best start in program history after taking down Denton Ryan last week, 23-16. The win snapped Ryan’s 42-game district winning streak.

Can the Spartans be streak killers again?

Aledo holds the national record with a 108-game district winning streak that dates back to 2007.

Centennial enters with 46 points per game and has only allowed 53 points in six games (8.9 per game). Meanwhile Aledo has out scored teams 328-122 in seven games, including 193-14 in the last three.

Let’s roll with Centennial, 35-33.

Whitesboro (6-0, 3-0) at Brock (2-4, 2-0)

7:30 p.m. Friday

After starting 0-4 against some of the top teams in the state, Brock is rolling through district and has out scored the last two teams 105-20.

Don’t be surprised if the undefeated Whitesboro Bearcats make it closer than a two-touchdown game, but this is Brock and you don’t mess with Brock in district.

The Eagles ride a 20-game district winning streak. Brock blew out Whitesboro twice last season, including 49-14 in the regional final.

Give me Brock, 42-28.

Byron Nelson (6-0, 3-0) at Keller (5-1, 2-1)

7 p.m. Friday

Such as Burleson Centennial, Byron Nelson is 6-0 for the first time in program history and the Bobcats are one of the top offenses in the state. They’re third in the state with 56.6 points per game.

The defense has been stout as well with 9.5 points allowed per game.

Byron has out scored three district teams 189-24, including 65-7 last week against Haltom.

Keller perhaps had the best loss of the season, taking mighty Southlake Carroll to the very edge, 38-35. The Indians even led at halftime.

It will be hard to stop Byron’s offense, give me the Bobcats 42-28.

North Crowley (6-0, 3-0) vs. Weatherford (5-1, 2-1)

7:30 p.m. Friday, Kangaroo Stadium, Wetherford

Another first time 6-0 team, the North Crowley Panthers are coming off an impressive 21-17 win over Boswell in Week 7. The defense had an interception and a fourth-down pass deflection in the end zone in the final quarter.

North Crowley is among the top defenses in the area as the Panthers have only allowed under 14 points per game. They’ve out scored teams 212-83 this season.

Weatherford knocked off previously undefeated Bell in overtime and moved up in the 6A area rankings. The Roos rallied back from 14 down in the fourth quarter to beat the Blue Raiders.

North Crowley continues its hot start, give me the Panthers 24-17.

Boswell (5-1, 2-1) vs. LD Bell (5-1, 2-1)

7:30 p.m. Friday, Pennington Field, Bedford

Both the Boswell Pioneers and Bell Blue Raiders look to bounce back after losing their unbeaten marks in Week 7. Boswell lost 21-17 to North Crowley while Bell fell 41-38 to Weatherford.

Despite the loss, Boswell still enters with over 40 points per game on offense including a pair of 45-point games in district. These two teams are nearly identical with Boswell out scoring teams 243-105 while Bell sits at 235-102.

Boswell is the one to bounce back, Pioneers win 28-21.
