Southlake Carroll junior Bayley Trang won a UIL wrestling state title for the second straight season, winning the 110 pound weight class at the 6A meet on Saturday at the Berry Center in Cypress.

Trang defeated Allen’s Tabiah Walwyn-ton 10-3 in the championship match. She also won her semifinal match on Saturday 7-2. Trang won by pin fall in both matches on Friday and finished the season 44-2.

Bayley’s sister, Brenna, came in fifth place in the 95 pound class.

Carroll finished in fourth place of the 6A team standings with 51 points. Euless Trinity was tied for state runner up with 59 points. Allen girls won their second straight state title with 86 points.

But Lee was defeated 11-2 in the final against Rockwall Heath’s Sloan Stewart.
