UIL releases realignment cutoff numbers and what it means for Fort Worth-area schools

The UIL released its enrollment cutoff numbers for the 2022-23 and 2023-24 realignment, which will be later announced during the first week of February.

Numbers indicate what classification a school will be placed in during realignment.

Schools submitted snapshot enrollment numbers to the UIL in October. Some notable changes come realignment time is Mansfield Legacy and Crowley moving up from Class 5A Division 1 to Class 6A.

Legacy will join Mansfield ISD schools Mansfield and Mansfield Lake Ridge in 6A. Crowley will join North Crowley.

Aledo, which has a UIL record 10 state championships, will play in its largest classification in football program history when it moves up from 5A D2 to D1. The Bearcats have gone 56-3 during the past four seasons. The UIL split 5A into divisions in 2018. Aledo won three straight 5A D2 titles before it was knocked out of the third round this season.
