Timberview boys rout Guyer, Timber Creek girls win late and more from Fort Worth-area

Boys

Mansfield Timberview 68, Denton Guyer 48

The Wolves, No. 4 in the Class 5A state rankings, scored 24 points in the third quarter to help beat the Wildcats on Tuesday night.

Chendall Weaver knocked down three 3-pointers and scored a game-high 23 points for Timberview.

Three more Wolves scored in double figures with Donovan O’Day (14), Braylon Crosby (11) and Jared Washington (10). Timberview outscored Guyer in every quarter.

Kyeron Lindsay made 10 field goals and led Guyer with 22 points.

Haltom 61, Aledo 58 OT

Marlon Carrington and Kuol Atak scored 16 apiece as the Buffalos edged out the Bearcats in overtime on Tuesday night.

Carrington added seven rebounds.

Jeremy Snow chipped in 11 points and a team-high four assists for Haltom. Baron Smith had six points and a team-high 12 boards.

Joshua 52, Burleson 50

Aiden Raccuglia finished with 16 points and seven rebounds as the Owls squeaked by the Elks on Tuesday night.

The Owls improved to 4-2.

Trenton Lane added 10 points and Bailey Sosebee and Deaven Connelly chipped in nine and seven points for Joshua.

Sosebee had four steals and Connelly and Aidan Haskins combined for nine rebounds.

Azle 57, Weatherford 48

After trailing by one at the break, the Hornets outscored the Kangaroos 33-23 in the second half to pull away for the road win on Tuesday night.

Campbell Dotson dropped a game-high 24 points for Azle.

Jayden Coffey added 11 for the Hornets.

Kane Chandler led Weatherford with 15 points.

Burleson Centennial 65, Frisco Leadership 38

Kendall Lawrence scored 12 points and Bryce Robinson chipped in 11 to lead the Spartans to a home win on Tuesday night.

Jordan Weeks and Jordan Jenkins added eight and seven, respectively.

Centennial had 12 players score as the Spartans improved to 5-3.

The Spartans scored 27 points in the fourth quarter and held Leadership to seven to pull away.

Girls

Keller Timber Creek 34, Colleyville Heritage 32

KJ Walker’s 3-pointer with 15 seconds left pushed the Falcons past the Panthers on Tuesday night.

Timber Creek improves to 8-3.

Walker hit three 3-pointers.

Heritage, which was led by Aniya Rhonden’s 10 points, trailed 18-17 at intermission, but led 28-23 after three. However, Timber Creek held the Panthers to four points in the final eight minutes to help pull off the comeback.

LD Bell 59, Burleson 28

Twins Hallie and Jayden Rhodes combined for 34 points as the Blue Raiders improved to 11-3 on Tuesday night.

After Bell led 8-4 after the first quarter and 23-16 at halftime, the Raiders outscored the Elks 21-4 in the third quarter.

Hallie Rhodes led the way with 22 points.

Mykyagh Morgan and Kennedy Wright chipped in nine and seven points for Bell.

Arlington Bowie 66, Dallas Skyline 57

Three Volunteers scored in double figures led by 20 points from Seniya Wilson as Bowie beat Skyline on Tuesday night.

Dakia Patton (18 points), Alaisha Brown (11), Taryn Perkins (8), Blessing Teamer (7) and Kennedi Webb (2) rounded out the Bowie scoring.

Skyline opened the game with a 22-16 lead in the first quarter.

Bowie trailed by eight at intermission, but came out with a 22-9 margin in the third quarter. The Vols outscored Skyline 13-9 to seal the win.

Keller Fossil Ridge 46, Haltom 39

Jade Masogayo scored eight points and surpassed 1,000 career rebounds as the Panthers beat the Buffalos on Tuesday night.

Adriana Robles scored 11 of her team-high 13 points in the first half for Fossil Ridge. LaKyla McSwain added nine of her 11 points in the second quarter.

Madeline Fisher hit four 3-pointers and scored 14 of her game-high 23 points in the second half to lead Haltom.

Mansfield Summit 82, Mansfield 38

Sydney Rice and Donterria Brown scored 22 points apiece as the Jaguars beat the Tigers on Tuesday night.

Summit improves to 8-5 this season.

Destiny Whitaker and Jamie Walker scored 12 and 11 points, respectively for the Jags, who led 25-4 after the first quarter.

Aleksandra Clayton hit two threes and finished with 10 points to lead Mansfield.
