Dallas-Fort Worth high school football defensive player of the week from Burleson Centennial
Burleson Centennial’s Chapman Lewis was voted DFW defensive player of the week in Week 1.
Lewis got 33% of the votes. He played an instrumental part in the Spartans’ comeback victory over Prosper Rock Hill.
Mansfield Summit’s Ahmaad Moses came in second with 27%. He had 13 tackles against Jenks.
Argyle’s Riley Van Poppel came in third. Keller’s Zac O’Day came in fourth. A total of eight players were nominated on Tuesday.
