I still like the Eaton Eagles to finish the season as the best Fort Worth-area team in Class 6A. The Eagles are coming off their best season with a run to their first regional final appearance in 2020. They graduated three of the best players in program history, but return plenty of talent including five players with starting experience.
Surprise
LD Bell is my darkhorse team. There were a few Fort Worth-area coaching changes in Class 6A, but no bigger name than Julie Price. The two-time state champion led Coppell for the past 10 years and turned the Cowgirls into one of DFW’s powerhouse teams. It’s been 10 years since Bell won a playoff game, but if someone can turn a program around, it’s Price. Last year’s roster had eight juniors, so if all return, Bell can be a very experienced bunch.
