North Texas high school athletes up for Dallas-Fort Worth USA TODAY Sports Awards
USA TODAY Sports is changing its High School Sports Awards show from an in-person event, originally scheduled for May 15 at Music Hall at Fair Park, to a star-studded broadcast awards show that will be available at 6 p.m. on Thursday, June 18.
“To ensure the safety and health of our honorees and their families during the coronavirus pandemic, we felt it was critical to provide a new experience that eliminated those risks,” USA TODAY said.
“With the new show format, we will still be able to shine the spotlight on the incredible accomplishments of the athletes, coaches and teams in the Greater Dallas-area and ensure that their hard work and dedication does not go unnoticed.”
