PLAYOFF PITCHER AND HITTER OF THE WEEK

Ryan Bogusz, Lone Star

What he did: We’re giving the Oklahoma State bound star both awards this week and here’s why.

Bogusz threw a no-hitter in Game 1 vs. Dallas Wilson. Lone Star won 8-0 and went on to sweep the 5A Region II area round series. He faced 22 batters with a walk as his only blemish. He struck out 16 batters.

If that wasn’t enough, IN THE SAME GAME, he went 4 of 4, hitting for the cycle, and had 4 RBIs.

Not a bad day at all.

Oh and his no-hitter vs. Wilson was his second-straight no-hitter.
