The winner for Dallas-Fort Worth playoff softball hitter of the week goes to Southlake Carroll’s Piper Harness!
Harness came up big in a doubleheader on Friday especially in Game 3 vs. Flower Mound. She hit 2 home runs on the day and added 6 RBIs in the series. She hit the go-ahead 2-run homer in the bottom of the 6th in Game 3 to help send the Dragons past the Jaguars and into the second round.
She beat out Euless Trinity’s Piper Hankins after she had a huge Game 2 vs. Paschal. Hankins drove in 8 runs and had the grand slam that ended the game via run-rule and ended the series in a sweep. She was 6 for 9 with 2 triples and 9 RBIs in the series.
LD Bell’s Brenda Ibarra was also nominated after she hit her first-career over the fence home run vs. Lamar in Game 1. But she didn’t stop there as she added two more in Game 2 to help complete the sweep. She drove in 8 runs.
