The Rebels scored nine runs in the fifth inning to defeat the 4-6A champs in Game 3 and clinch a Class 6A Region I bi-district series at Workman Complex. They won a play-in game Monday just to reach the postseason.

“We have a great bond. I’m so blessed to a part of this team. We’re sisters,” Richland pitcher Krystal Lindsey said.

Landri McKittrick singled in two runs, and Aliya Cruz reached on an error to put the Rebels up 3-0 in the third. Jordan Ateman doubled in a run for Martin (22-12-1) and scored on an error to get the Warriors within 3-2.
