Dallas Fort Worth softball player of the week, March 4-9, 2019

The winner for Dallas-Fort Worth softball player of the week, March 4-9, 2019, goes to Forney junior and Texas A&M commit Trinity Cannon.

Cannon hit three home runs and drove in 10 runs during a two-game district stretch. She hit two homers with six RBI in a 15-0 win over Lancaster.

As a nominee, Cannon had a big Monday vs. Terrell, adding two more homers to the season with four RBI.

Cannon beat out Birdville pitcher and Texas commit Grace Green and Keller’s Tessa Galipeau.

Green registered 28 strikeouts in two games including a no-hitter with a career-high 18 strikeouts vs. Saginaw.

Galipeau homered with eight RBI vs. Timber Creek.
