Lebanon Trail standout hitter leads Dallas-Fort Worth volleyball players of the week

OVERALL DFW AREA CHAMPION- Rayna Williams, Jr, Frisco Lebanon Trail

The 2020 outside hitter led the Trail Blazers to an upset over the No. 1 5A team in Frisco Wakeland on Sept. 4. LTHS won in five sets after falling behind 0-2 with a final score of 17-25, 24-26, 25-22, 25-17, 15-10.

Williams led the team with 17 kills and 23 digs, and added 2 blocks.

The Trail Blazers picked up their fourth win a row with a sweep over Frisco Independence on Sept. 8, 25-21, 25-13, 25-19. Williams recorded 8 kills, 14 digs and 2 aces.

Lebanon Trail has improved 15-5 and has won 10 of its past 11 matches. The Trail Blazers have jumped eight spots to No. 12 in Class 5A/Others during the latest Dallas-Fort Worth volleyball rankings. Williams leads the team in kills this season.
