4-star DFW hooper offered by SEC power and local program
Justin Northwest 2019 point guard Avery Anderson recently picked up scholarship offers from Florida and UT-Arlington.
Anderson is a 4-star prospect with offers from TCU, Texas A&M, LSU, Oklahoma State and SMU. He's the No. 74 ranked player in the nation for the Class of 2019, No. 9 point guard overall and No. 5 overall prospect in the state. He's projected to commit with LSU, according to 247Sports.
Anderson was voted District 6-5A MVP in 2018 after averaging 16.9 points, 3.6 rebounds, 5.0 assists and 2.5 steals per game.
He averaged 20.5 points, 5.8 rebounds, 3.8 assists and 3.1 steals per game in 2017, and was named 6-5A Co-MVP.
The Texans have made the UIL state tournament in back-to-back seasons. Anderson made the first team Star-Telegram all-area team each year. They lost to Fort Bend Marshall during the semifinals in 2017, and was 5A state runner-up in March.
