Burleson and Midlothian standouts win soccer players of the week
Over 80,000 votes were cast for dfwVarsity girls and boys soccer players of the week for Jan. 8-13.
Burleson freshman Maycie Massingill won the girls vote (8,403) after she scored five goals in four games.
Massingill edged out Keller Fossil Ridge senior Kayla Brooks (6,912) who recorded four shutouts as the Panthers won the X-Town Shootout.

Birdville senior Madi Garza came in third (5,203) after she recorded two goals and three assists vs. Dumas.
Nearly 60,000 votes were cast for the boys poll with Midlothian junior Christian Naizer winning (28,266). He recorded five assists and two goals in three games.
Naizer beat out Mansfield Summit junior Diego Dimas (26,667) who scored nine times in three games.
