Kansas Jayhawks looking for 32nd Sweet 16, 1st in 4 years, against Creighton Bluejays

The Kansas Jayhawks are a win away from their 32nd Sweet 16 appearance and first since 2018.

They are tied with Duke with the fourth-most in NCAA Tournament history.

Top-seed Kansas plays 9-seed Creighton at 1:40 p.m. Saturday in the second round of the NCAA Tournament at Dickies Arena in Fort Worth.

The Jayhawks (29-6) roughed up 16-seed Texas Southern, 83-56, Thursday night in the Midwest Region at Dickies Arena in Fort Worth. Creighton (23-11) rallied to beat 8-seed San Diego State, 72-69, in overtime Thursday.

Kansas is 10-6 all-time against Creighton, including a 73-72 win on Dec. 8, 2020, in Lawrence, Kan., in the most recent meeting. The Bluejays lone victory against the Jayhawks came in 1949.
