Big 12 unveils league schedule for TCU men’s and women’s basketball
The Big 12 released league schedules for TCU men’s and women’s basketball on Thursday.
Men’s basketball has marquee home games with Kansas, Baylor, Texas Tech and BYU this season. All four teams are expected to be ranked in the preseason top 25.
On the women’s side, the defending regular-season Big 12 champions will face West Virginia and Baylor at home. The Mountaineers and Bears finished second and third in the league and West Virginia also defeated TCU in the Big 12 Tournament championship game.
Both programs will enter next season with high expectations. The men are coming off an NCAA Tournament where they reached the second round after beating Ohio State. TCU returned four key contributors from last year, led by All-Big 12 forward Xavier Edmonds and point guard Brock Harding.
The women are coming off a second straight Elite Eight appearance and brought in another strong transfer class to rebuild the roster after the departure of Olivia Miles and Marta Suarez.
Opponents were selected to best balance the schedule in terms of travel and competitiveness. A full Big 12 schedule will be released at a later date.
