Olivia Miles talks possible fit with Wings’ Paige Bueckers before WNBA Draft

The Dallas Wings have the No. 1 pick in Monday’s WNBA Draft and TCU’s Olivia Miles made her case for why she would make an excellent backcourt partner with Paige Bueckers.

“I think we’d be one of, if not the most dynamic backcourt in the league. I’m naturally a pass-first guard, so I want to get her the ball in places where she’s successful. I think it’d just be an incredible partnership,” said Miles. “If I got to play with Paige, I feel like we’d light the league on fire.”

It’s not hard to imagine the pair playing well together, both a dynamic playmakers and scorers as they’ve shown an ability to sacrifice to play with other stars.

It seems unlikely this pair will get a chance to play together with the Wings posting on Twitter a countdown graphic that seems to allude to them drafting UConn’s Azzi Fudd with the No. 35, Fudd’s college number, appearing at the bottom of the image.

Miles is coming off a standout season that saw her average 19.6 points, 7.2 rebounds and 6.6 assists per game en route to being Big 12 Player and Newcomer of the Year and helping TCU make it’s second Elite Eight in program history.

Miles is projected to be among the top picks in this draft with the latest mock draft from ESPN having her go No. 2 to the Minnesota Lynx.
