TCU football ranked in AP, coaches polls after victory over SMU

After defeating SMU in the final Battle for the Iron Skillet, TCU football was ranked in the Associated Press Top 25 and the USA Today Coaches Poll on Sunday.

The Horned Frogs are ranked No. 24 in the AP Top 25 and landed at No. 25 in the coaches poll. TCU is off to a 3-0 start with wins over North Carolina (2-2), Abilene Christian (2-2) and SMU (2-2).

Three other teams from the Big 12 landed in the AP poll — Texas Tech at No. 12, Iowa State at No. 14 and BYU at No. 25.

TCU beat writer Steven Johnson voted the Horned Frogs No. 21 on his AP Top 25 ballot.
