Plan your college football Saturday: How to watch TCU and other Texas programs
It’s been a good start to the college football season for programs in Texas with TCU, Texas A&M securing wins early in the season.
Here’s how fans can watch those Texas programs play this week.
TCU’s home opener
Kickoff time: TCU will play Abilene Christian at 7 p.m. on Saturday at Amon G. Carter Stadium.
Where can fans watch: The game will air on ESPN+.
Last matchup: TCU had a bye week after dominating UNC in its season-opening win over the Tar Heels. The Horned Frogs will welcome Abilene Christian for their home opener in what could be another massive victory for TCU.
Aggies ranked battle vs the Fighting Irish
Kickoff time: Texas A&M will play Notre Dame at 6:45 p.m. on Saturday at Notre Dame Stadium.
Where fans can watch: The game will air on NBC and can be streamed on the NBC Sports app or Peacock.
Last matchup: After starting the season with two home wins, the No. 16 ranked Aggies will play No. 8 Notre Dame in a matchup that could announce the Aggies as serious contenders in college football.
Lone Star State clash
Kickoff time: Texas will play UTEP at 3:15 p.m. Saturday at Texas Memorial Stadium.
Where fans can watch: The game will air on the SEC Network.
Last matchup: After starting the season with a loss to Ohio State, the Longhorns bounced back for a blowout victory over San Jose State and will look to continue to try to build on that performance. UTEP is coming off a victory against UT Martin and will try to beat the Longhorns for the first time in program history.
Red Raiders look to remain undefeated
Kickoff time: Texas Tech will play Oregon State at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday at Jones AT&T Stadium.
Where fans can watch: The game will broadcast on FOX and stream on the FOX Sports app and website.
Last matchup: The Red Raiders’ offense has been electric to start the season, scoring an average of 64.5 points in their first two games, both massive victories. Oregon State has had an inverse start, winless in their first two games against Cal and Fresno State, the Beavers will be looking to avoid a calamoitous start to the season.
Mustangs look to rebound from Baylor loss
Kickoff time: SMU will play Missouri State at 3:30 p.m. on Saturday at Plaster Sports Complex.
Where fans can watch: The game will air on the CBS Sports Network.
Last matchup: SMU is coming off a devastating double-overtime loss to in-state rival Baylor, while Missouri State is looking to continue its momentum coming off its first win of the year against Marshall.
Baylor looks to avoid letdown
Kickoff time: Baylor will play Samford at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday at McLane Stadium.
Where fans can watch: The game will air on ESPN+.
Last matchup: After their massive overtime win over the Mustangs, the Bears will be trying to avoid a letdown against a Samford team that has yet to score more than 13 points in either of it’s losses this season.
