TCU football standouts Bud Clark, Eric McAlister voted preseason All-Big 12
TCU safety Bud Clark and wide receiver Eric McAlister were selected preseason All-Big 12 by media members that cover the conference, the league announced on Monday.
Clark had the best season of his career as he was graded a top-five safety in the country by Pro Football Focus and was also voted second team All-Big 12 in 2024.
A team captain, Clark led the Horned Frogs with three interceptions and produced a career-high 67 tackles. Clark could’ve entered the NFL Draft, but opted to stay in Fort Worth one more season, giving the Horned Frogs one of the best defensive backs in the country.
McAlister transferred in from Boise State last season and despite playing behind Jack Bech, Savion Williams and JP Richardson, McAlister still finished with 762 yards and tied a career-high with five touchdown catches.
With Bech and Williams on NFL rosters, McAlister should receive plenty of targets this season and could be the next Horned Frog wide receiver to be drafted.
McAlister and Clark will represent TCU at Big 12 Media Days at the Star in Frisco on Wednesday along with Josh Hoover, Devean Deal, Namdi Obiazor, Coltin Deery and head coach Sonny Dykes.
