TCU football stays hot with another 2026 commitment

The Horned Frogs stayed hot on the recruiting trail with another commitment for the 2026 class.

On Wednesday, TCU was able to add three-star defensive lineman Maddox Flynt to the class. Flynt is the fourth recruit to commit to TCU this week.

Listed at 6-foot-2, 295 pounds, Flynt is currently unranked on 247Sports, but held offers from Houston, Kansas State and UTSA. Flynt is a standout at Austin Westlake, which reached the UIL Class 6A-Division state championship final against North Crowley.

Flynt had 65 tackles, 10 tackles for loss, 14 quarterback hurries and four sacks in a breakout junior season. It was a solid step up from his sophomore season, when he produced 56 tackles, three stops for loss, six quarterback hurries and two sacks.

Four of TCU’s six-man class are on the defensive line led by four-star Arlington Martin standout Jesse Ford and three-star edge rusher Carter Buck from Lake Travis. Flynt faced Buck and Lake Travis in the quarterfinals of the state playoffs with Westlake coming out on top 24-17.

The recruiting class also features three-star receiver commit Brock Boyd from Southlake Carroll.
