TCU football lands 2026 four-star defensive lineman from Arlington Martin

TCU added one of the best players in Texas to its 2026 recruiting class over the weekend.

Four-star defensive lineman Jesse Ford committed to the Horned Frogs on Saturday on his Instagram page. The Arlington Martin standout is the highest rated recruit in TCU’s class that also includes Southlake Carroll wide receiver Brock Boyd.

Ford is rated the No. 120 player in the country and No. 15 in the state of Texas. Ford had an impressive offer list that included schools like Arkansas, Ole Miss, Texas and SMU.

Ford was extremely productive this past season for Martin as he finished the year with 49 tackles, 20.5 TFL, 7.5 sacks and a blocked kick.

It was a step up from Ford’s breakout sophomore season in 2023 when he produced 40 tackles, 12.5 TFL, seven sacks and two forced fumbles.

Listed at 6-foot-4, 235 pounds Ford has plenty of upside according to one scouting report.

“Projects as a high-major D-line piece who can set the edge while also providing some splash-play potential,” 247Sports recruiting analyst Gabe Brooks said. “Could bulk into a true interior player as well. Continued physical and athletic development could lead to an impact player with potential beyond college.”

The Horned Frogs’ 2026 clas is currently ranked No. 32 nationally.
