TCU wide receiver Jack Bech will be out four to six weeks with a MCL injury
TCU star wide receiver Jack Bech received MRI results on Sunday that showed his injury isn’t as serious as many had feared when Bech exited the game on Saturday against Cincinnati.
Lonn Phillips Sullivan, a LSU beat writer for LSUOdyssey.com, tweeted Sunday evening that Bech’s result showed a MCL injury that would keep him out four to six weeks, but there was no meniscus damage.
Bech retweeted Sullivan’s report on his Twitter page and also tweeted out “The Lord is great always and his timing is always perfect.”
The timetable still likely rules out Bech from competing in TCU’s bowl game with the Horned Frogs projected to play sometime after Christmas, but he should have more than enough time to get healthy before the NFL Draft process.
Bech had a breakout season with 62 receptions, 1,034 yards and nine touchdowns. The LSU transfer had just 12 receptions for 146 yards in his first season in Fort Worth.
Bech suffered the knee injury sometime in the first half of TCU’s 20-13 win over Cincinnati in the regular season finale. He finished the game with three receptions for 27 yards.
