Former TCU football standout cut by New England Patriots after social media post

The New England Patriots cut former TCU star wide receiver Jalen Reagor after a post he made to Instagram and soon after deleted.

Reagor was a member of the Patriots practice squad and many took the post, showing an expensive sports car sitting in a trailer park, as him expressing his unhappiness with said role.

Several hours after making the post Reagor was cut from the practice squad.

The Boston Herald’s Doug Kyed reported that Reagor’s post did not directly lead to him being cut from the team and said he had expressed similar sentiments internally.

Initially a first-round draft pick by the Philadelphia Eagles in the 2020 NFL Draft, Reagor was traded to the Minnesota Vikings after a disappointing two seasons.

Reagor then signed with the Patriots after spending one season in Minnesota. He played in 11 games for New England in the 2023 season totaling seven receptions for 138 yards and one kick return for a touchdown.

Reagor starred at TCU from 2017-2019 earning two All-Big 12 selections and winning Big 12 Offensive Freshman of the Year in 2017.
