TCU ranked No. 19 in latest AP Poll
After picking up two wins over opponents ranked inside the top-10, TCU basketball shot up to No. 19 in the latest Associated Press Top 25 poll.
The Horned Frogs defeated previous No. 2 Houston on Saturday in dramatic fashion as Emanuel Miller hit a game-winning layup with less than seven seconds remaining and then Micah Peavy forced a turnover on the Cougars’ final possession. Houston dropped to No. 5 after the loss.
On Wednesday, TCU (13-3, 2-1) used an impressive second half performance and big night from Miller to take down previous No. 9 Oklahoma 80-71. The Sooners fell to No. 15 on Monday.
The Horned Frogs will look to keep the momentum rolling on Tuesday with a trip to Big 12 newcomer Cincinnati. The Bearcats picked up an impressive win over No. 20 BYU on Jan. 6, but have dropped two straight close games to Texas and No. 9 Baylor.
Cincinnati has a 10-1 record at home this season.
