Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, TikTok and Snapchat have become ways to communicate and have quickly translated into high school sports as local athletes go through their recruitment.

With name, image and likeness era here to stay in college athletics the social media presence of athletes is more important than ever.

It’s all apart of branding and more followers means more lucrative NIL deals most of the times. Take TCU center Eddie Lampkin. Lampkin, who has more than 23,000 followers on Twitter and Instagram combined, has a NIL deal with Chicken Express. The restaurant just a short walk away from campus still advertises that Eddie Lampkin And-1 meal.
