TCU basketball makes the final two for LSU transfer Adam Miller
TCU basketball has made the final two for transfer Adam Miller.
Miller, a transfer out of LSU, announced Friday that he has narrowed his search to returning to LSU or going to TCU.
The Frogs have been in the mix since Miller entered the transfer portal. Miller was a member of Team USA’s U19 roster last summer, which was coached by TCU’s Jamie Dixon. TCU star guard Mike Miles played with Miller on the team.
The U19 team, which won the gold medal, held tryouts on TCU’s campus last summer.
Miller didn’t play for LSU last season, sustaining a season-ending ACL injury before the season. He spent his first college season with Illinois in 2020-21, averaging 8.3 points, 2.8 rebounds and 0.8 assists in 25.5 minutes per game.
Miller was a four-star prospect coming out of Morgan Park High School in the Chicago area.
TCU has become a desirable destination following its historic season. The Frogs ended a 35-year drought between NCAA Tournament victories and had 1-seed Arizona on the ropes before falling in overtime.
For players such as Miller, Dixon is also an attractive coach given the freedom with which he allows his guards to play.
