TCU basketball will be without Mike Miles once again.

Miles will not play tonight against Oklahoma State with injuries to both wrists. Miles had a second opinion done on his wrists, which confirmed there is no break. However, a source said, more rest is recommended with the hope he’ll be eligible to return at Texas Tech on Saturday.

Miles told TCU 360’s Colin Post that he “feels good” about being available for Saturday’s game in Lubbock.

Miles is leading the team with 15.4 points per game.

Miles’ absence was noticed in the Frogs’ loss to Kansas State on Saturday. They looked out of sorts on the offensive end, settling for a number of 3-point attempts (6 of 28). Junior guard Francisco Farabello started in Miles’ place.

Despite being without their best player for a second consecutive game, the Frogs have a chance to further solidify themselves as a March Madness-caliber team. They are sitting at 15-5 overall and 4-4 in Big 12 play with tonight’s game marking the midway point of conference play.

TCU coach Jamie Dixon has said that getting to the nine-win mark in league play essentially guarantees a berth into the Big Dance. An 8-10 league record may be enough to get a bid, but that record would likely leave a team sweating going into Selection Sunday.

At the end of the day, TCU has to do a better job of taking care of its home-court advantage. The Frogs are a disappointing 1-3 against Big 12 opponents at home so far this season.

Tip-off tonight is 6 p.m. at Schollmaier Arena.
