The TCU basketball team picked up a big-time addition to its 2020 class on Sunday afternoon, a couple hours before its game against Xavier.

Lancaster point guard Mike Miles signed to play for the Horned Frogs, announcing his decision on social media.

Miles had gotten TCU his paperwork before his announcement was made public.

Miles is rated as a four-star prospect by Rivals and a three-star prospect by 247Sports. He chose TCU over interest from other programs such as LSU, Oregon and Oklahoma State.

TCU coach Jamie Dixon has been looking to add a point guard to his 2020 class. TCU is going with a rotation between freshman Francisco Farabello and graduate transfer Edric Dennis at point guard this season. Dennis is out of eligibility after this season.

Assistant Tony Benford was the lead recruiter in bringing Miles to Fort Worth.

Miles is listed at 6-foot-2, 170 pounds and is descried as “the complete package” by Billy Wessels, the publisher of TCU’s Rivals site PurpleMenace.com.

“He has great court vision, a precise passer, impressive speed and has the ability to score down low,” Wessels said. “For a team that has a clear need at point guard, Miles is a godsend that should provide an instant impact next season.”

With Miles on board, TCU now has three players in its 2020 class along with Terren Frank and Eddie Lampkin. 247Sports has rated TCU’s class as No. 34 in the country and No. 7 in the Big 12.
