These TCU seniors have been selected to play in all-star events
TCU’s JD Miller isn’t finished representing Big 12 basketball yet. Neither is senior point guard Alex Robinson.
Miller is on the Big 12’s roster for the 2019 Dos Equis 3X3U National Championship, which is taking place Friday-Sunday at Minnesota’s Mall of America. Robinson, meanwhile, will play in the Portsmouth Invitational Tournament later this month in Virginia.
Miller will be joined by Baylor’s King McClure and Oklahoma’s Christian James and Rashard Odomes for the three-on-three event. Every roster is comprised of seniors.
The teams will compete for a $150,000 prize pool with the champions taking home $100,000. The champions will also earn the right to compete in the 2019 USA Basketball 3x3 Open National Championship May 3-4 in Las Vegas.
Miller is coming off a season in which he averaged 10.8 points and 6.6 rebounds for the Frogs, which reached the NIT semifinals. This season saw Miller become TCU’s all-time leader in games played and join the school’s 1,000-point club.
Robinson, who became the school’s all-time leader in assists as well as joining the 1,000-point club, received an invitation to the historic PIT, an event that hosts the top 64 seniors in the nation.
