Jalen Reagor’s ridiculous 65-yard touchdown gives TCU halftime edge over Baylor

TCU wide receiver Jalen Reagor might be the next player nicknamed “the human joystick.”

Reagor turned what looked like a negative play into a 65-yard touchdown, breaking tackles and bouncing off defenders, to give TCU a 9-6 lead over Baylor in the second quarter.

That score holds at halftime. TCU (4-6) has blown four halftime leads so far this season, but must close out today’s game with a win to keep its bowl dreams alive.

Reagor’s play has been the highlight for TCU so far.

The Frogs have missed a point-after attempt, had a punt blocked and saw their starting quarterback, Mike Collins, exit with an injury. But backup Grayson Muehlstein has managed the offense well.

Muehlstein threw the TD pass to Reagor on a 3rd-and-6 play, just the second completed pass in Muehlstein’s career. He is 5-for-7 passing for 86 yards, and has added another 18 yards on six carries.

For Reagor, it marked the sixth consecutive game with a receiving TD. He and Josh Doctson are the only players in school history to accomplish that.

Injuries, though, continue to be a storyline for TCU. The Frogs have seen two QBs go down with injuries with Collins on Saturday following Shawn Robinson, who underwent season-ending shoulder surgery last month.

Defender Ty Summers returned after missing the previous two games, registering a sack on his first snap, but exited with an injury in the first half.
