Art Briles is coaching again. And many aren’t happy about it.

The former Baylor head football coach was hired as an offensive assistant by the Hamilton Tiger-Cats of the Canadian Football League. Former SMU coach June Jones is the Hamilton head coach.

Briles was fired from Baylor in May 2016 after a sexual assault scandal enveloped the program.

Briles’ past wasn’t addressed in Hamilton’s release, which drew derision from some on social media. Jones joined the Hamilton staff as an assistant earlier in the month and was named the head coach four days ago. He coached SMU from 2008-14 and Hawaii from 1999-07.
