Cotton Bowl joins coalition to aid school destroyed in the California wildfires

The Cotton Bowl has announced a partnership with the Fiesta Bowl, Orange Bowl, Peach Bowl, Rose Bowl, Sugar Bowl, School Specialty and the CFP Foundation to pledge more than $1.5 million to the restoration of the Eliot Arts Magnet School destroyed by the wildfires in California.

The CFP Foundation is an organization that seeks to increase support and resources for educators and improve student outcomes.

Located in Altadena, Calif., the fire damaged the school campus to the point that they had to colocate with McKinley School, and caused the Pasadena Unified School District to pass a resolution to rebuild the school.

David Eads, CEO of Pasadena Tournament of Roses, thanked everyone in the coalition who came together to help a community in need.

“The Tournament of Roses is deeply grateful to the College Football Playoff Foundation and our fellow bowl game partners for coming together to support Eliot Arts Magnet School,” said Eads, “This generous commitment highlights the power of teamwork and the meaningful impact we can make when united by a shared purpose. Eliot Arts holds a special place in our community, and we’re proud to stand with our partners to help restore a space that inspires creativity, learning and hope.”

The CFP Foundation has previously worked with Elliot Arts, helping to refurbish the school’s library in 2023.
