Texas Longhorns quarterback Arch Manning given top odds for prestigious award

Arch Manning is preparing to take the reins as the starting quarterback for the Texas Longhorns and after sitting behind Quinn Ewers for two seasons the expectations are massive for the Louisiana native.

According to BetMGM, Manning has the best odds of winning the 2025 Heisman and he would be the first player in his historic football family to win the Heisman

Of the top five players, Manning is the only one who didn’t start last season. The rest of the top five are listed below.

1. Arch Manning (Texas) +700

2. Garrett Nussmeier (LSU) +850

3. Cade Klubnik (Clemson) +1100

4. Jeremiah Smith (Ohio State) +1200

5. Drew Allar (Penn State) +1300

The SEC and Big Ten dominated the early Heisman odds with every player in the top ten hailing from one of the two conferences.

After Ewers went down with an injury Manning started several games last season, his sophomore campaign, and finished the season with 939 yards with nine touchdowns and two interceptions with 108 yards and four touchdowns added on the ground.

Texas finished last season with a 28-14 loss to Ohio State in the College Football Semifinal, the second season in a row the Longhorns season has ended at the semifinal round.
