Early homer fuels Cats’ victory
Ryan Lashley’s two-run home run in the third inning helped the Fort Worth Cats build an early four-run lead and eventually beat the Brownsville Charros 5-3 at LaGrave Field Wednesday.
Fort Worth (27-23) led 5-1 after three innings. Nick Thornton (3-1) went 6 2/3 innings for the Cats and won despite allowing 12 hits.
