Arlington’s Myles Garrett traded to the LA Rams. Some details about the deal

A blockbuster NFL trade was unveiled Monday when Cleveland Browns superstar Myles Garrett was sent to the Los Angeles Rams in return for Jared Verse and the Rams first-round draft pick in 2027, second-round pick in 2028 and a third-round pick in 2029.

Garrett a two-time NFL Defensive Player of the Year is one of the sports best players and his trade sets up the Rams to chase a second Super Bowl title with star quarterback Matthew Stafford and head coach Sean McVay.

Garrett is an Arlington Martin High School alum who attended college at Texas A&M before becoming the No. 1 pick in the 2017 NFL Draft. He spent the first nine years of his career with the Browns.

Garrett will join Byron Young and Kobie Turner to make a formidable pass rush that should be among the NFC’s best next season.

The trade will also see the Rams try to win Super Bowl LXI set to be played at SoFi Stadium, which is where the Rams play their home games. It’s also where they last won a Super Bowl, 23-20, over the Bengals.
