Pro bull riding comes to Fort Worth this weekend with Rattler Days. What to know

The Texas Rattlers, a professional bull riding team, are welcoming fans to Rattler Days this weekend at Dickies Arena in Fort Worth, featuring events for kids and families.

The main event features three days of competition in the PBR Camping World Team Series at 7:45 p.m. Friday, 6:45 p.m. Saturday and 1:45 p.m. Sunday at Dickies Arena.

The league features 10 teams who compete in a series of head-to-head matchups. Five riders compete for each team, and their combined score determines the winner.

The Rattlers, who won the Team Series in 2023, sit in fourth place this season. At Rattler Days, they will face the Oklahoma Wildcatters (seventh place) on Thursday, Austin Gamblers (second) on Friday and Kansas City Outlaws (eighth) on Sunday.

The Florida Freedom lead the standings this year. The Gamblers are the defending series champions. The series championship will be held Oct. 24-26 in Las Vegas.

Tickets for this weekend’s event are available on the Rattlers website, with prices varying by the day.

The team will host the Alley Rally at 3 p.m. Thursday and Friday in the Stockyards, featuring live music, parades and autograph signings for fans.

On Saturday, the team will host a charity pancake breakfast, a parade, and the Rattle Battle, where chefs compete to see who can cook rattlesnake the best, hosted by celebrity chef Tim Love. Fans get to taste the dishes and vote on the three finalists.

Tickets for the event start at $50 and go as high as $150.

Love said he was excited to see what chefs would produce in this year’s competition.

“Every year I get more excited to see how far these chefs will push the boundaries,” Love said. “Rattlesnake isn’t easy to work with, and that’s the point. It takes a bold and thoughtful approach to make something truly memorable. That’s why this event belongs in Fort Worth, and why it’s become one of the weekends I look forward to most all year.”

There will also be chances to meet members of the Rattlers and get autographs, along with the team showing off its new city edition uniform, which showcases the Rattlers’ connection with Fort Worth.

The entire schedule can be found on the Rattlers website.
