Red Bull to hold RB Rancher Strong at Stockyards

An obstacle fitness fusion competition is coming to Fort Worth.

Red Bull announced they are hosting a new fitness competition called “RB Rancher Strong” beginning at 12:30 p.m. on June 7 at the Cowtown Coliseum.

Red Bull says the competition will consist of several obstacles that aim to combine “the grit of agricultural life with the intensity of traditional fitness events.”

While applications to compete in the event closed in May, Red Bull says their course is designed for individuals from a variety of athletic backgrounds.

Activities for each obstacle include roping, riding and caring for livestock, which Red Bull says will “test every aspect of a competitor’s strength and willpower, ultimately determining who is truly ‘Rancher Strong.”

Competitors will be tested on speed as they race head-to-head in each round. Red Bull reveals some of the competitors have competed on the popular show American Ninja Warrior, including Todd “Cajun Cowboy” Bourgeois, Aydon Holley and Maggi Thorne.

The top male and female competitors will be crowned “RB Rancher Strong.”

Fans can purchase tickets for $5 on the Cowtown Coliseum’s website. Kids under 10 are free with the purchase of an adult ticket.

Red Bull says there will be “Fan Zone” where attendees can do interactive challenges that test their strength and endurance. Fans who can’t attend in person can watch the live broadcasts of the final rounds beginning at 6 p.m. CT on Atmosphere TV.

“The Fort Worth Stockyards and the iconic Cowtown Coliseum host millions of visitors every year and provide the perfect setting for this inaugural event,” said Jason Sands, Executive Director for the Fort Worth Sports Commission. “We look forward to welcoming the athletes and fans to Fort Worth for what is sure to be an authentic western experience.”
