Fort Worth to host 2024 U.S. Gymnastics Championships ahead of 2024 Summer Olympics
The 2024 Xfinity U.S. Gymnastics Championship will be held on May 30 to June 2 in Fort Worth at Dickies Arena.
Dickies Arena previously hosted the 2021 U.S. Gymnastics Championship and earlier this year hosted the 2023 NCAA Gymnastics Championship.
The 2024 U.S. Gymnastics Championship will decide the National Team lineups for the U.S. Olympic Team Trials in preparation for the 2024 Summer Olympic Games in Paris.
In an announcement on FortWorthSports.com, USA Gymnastics chief programs officer Stefanie Korepin and executive director of the Fort Worth Sports Commission Jason Sands expressed excitement at the announcement.
“With the incredible success of the 2021 championships, we are excited to return to Fort Worth,” said Korepin.
“We truly value our partnership with USA Gymnastics and we couldn’t be more excited to host this prestigious championship and welcome the best gymnasts and fans in the country to experience all Fort Worth has to offer,” said Sands.
More than 150 athletes are expected to participate.
U.S. gymnastics legend Simone Biles could be one of said athletes competing as she has announced that she intends to compete in the 2024 Olympics.
