TCU baseball pushes up first pitch against UTA due to inclement weather
The TCU baseball team has changed its start time against UT-Arlington on Tuesday night because of inclement weather in the forecast.
First pitch is now set for 4 p.m. at Lupton Stadium. The game had been scheduled for 6:30 p.m.
The Horned Frogs are off to a 10-1 start, sweeping Cal last weekend. They’ll be looking to match the program’s best start in the Jim Schlossnagle era on Tuesday. TCU started the 2017 season by going 11-1.
The hot start by the Frogs have landed them in a number of college baseball polls. They’re No. 19 in the Collegiate Baseball poll, No. 20 in the Perfect Game poll and No. 22 in both the Baseball America and D1Baseball.com polls.
TCU owns the all-time series record against UTA 94-46-1, winning the first game between the programs 18-2 on March 7, 1969.
The Frogs have won eight of the last nine matchups against the Mavericks, going 2-1 against them last season.
UTA is off to an 8-3 start this season, taking two of three against Utah last weekend.
