Sunny week ahead for North Texas before rain returns this weekend

North Texas will begin the week with pleasant weather before storms return this weekend.

Conditions will be cool and partly sunny on Monday, April 6, and through Wednesday, April 8, according to the National Weather Service Fort Worth. Daily highs will be in the low to mid-70s.

Temperatures will warm up into the low 80s on Thursday, April 9, and Friday, April 10.

Rain returns late Friday with isolated chances, leading to higher chances on Saturday, April 11, per the NWS. Another round of rain is expected on Sunday, April 12.

The NWS said its monitoring the potential for severe weather during this time.

  • Sunday, April 12- 80 degrees, 60% chance of rain during the day
