What’s with the wind this week? Here’s when North Texas will see warmer temps
After a cold and windy start to the week, North Texas will see a quick warm up.
Much of the Metroplex woke up to temperatures in the mid-30s on Monday, March 16, due to a cold front arriving over the weekend, according to the National Weather Service Fort Worth. The front also brought strong winds to the region overnight, which will gradually ease Monday.
Daily highs will stay cool Monday in the mid-50s with overnight lows in the mid-30s. Sustained winds between 15-20 mph and gusts up to 30 mph are also possible.
Temperatures will start increasing Tuesday, March 17, as highs reach the mid-60s, followed by the upper 70s on Wednesday, March 18. Daily highs will continue to skyrocket on Thursday, March 19, as temperatures reach the upper 80s.
Finally, on Friday, March 20, daily highs will be in the low 90s, according to the NWS forecast.
Warm weekend ahead
Warm weather will continue over the weekend.
Daily highs will be in the low to mid-90s on Saturday, March 21, and Sunday, March 22. Skies are expected to be sunny and rain-free.
