Hail, gusty winds in the mix for Fort Worth. Here’s when rain and storms arrive this week
Scattered storms that could become strong with small hail and gusty winds are expected in North Texas this week, along with a chance of 90-degree weather.
Conditions will be warm and dry on Monday, March 24, according to the National Weather Service Fort Worth. Daily highs will be in the low 80s.
Temperatures will warm up Tuesday, March 25, to the low 90s ahead of stormy weather that evening. Scattered storms, some with the chance of small hail, are expected late Tuesday into Wednesday, March 26, according to the NWS.
Storm chances will increase Wednesday morning, with isolated to scattered showers and thunderstorms. Storm activity will continue through Wednesday evening, dissipating overnight, according to the NWS.
Rain chances continue later this week
An active weather pattern will continue this week and into the weekend.
Another round of storms is expected late Thursday, March 27, through mid-Friday, March 28, according to the NWS. Widespread showers and thunderstorms are expected with this round of storms.
Storm chances will continue overnight Friday into Saturday, March 28, with overall rainfall totals between 1 to 2 inches for much of the D-FW region this week. Isolated areas could see rain totals between 3 to 3.5 inches.
