Rain chances in the mix for Fort Worth as cold front arrives. Here’s what to expect

After a cool Tuesday, Feb. 4, sunny and warm conditions will return to North Texas on Wednesday, Feb. 5.

This week started with an 84-degree high on Monday, Feb. 4, followed by a 67-degree high Tuesday, according to the National Weather Service Fort Worth. After a foggy Wednesday morning, conditions look to warm up as the day goes on.

Wednesday’s high will be right around 70 degrees, along with mostly cloudy skies, according to the NWS.

Warm week leads to rainy weekend

Temperatures will increase going into Thursday, Feb. 6, at right around 80 degrees for the high.

Similar conditions will be in place on Friday, Feb. 7, and temperatures will increase a few more degrees into the upper 80s heading into Saturday, Feb. 8. A cold front will start moving into the region late Saturday.

Temperatures will dip into the mid-50s Sunday, along with around a 20% chance of rain, according to the NWS.

Rain chances will continue into early next week as temperatures continue to hover around the 50s. Here’s a look at the next seven days of temperatures and rain chances:

  • Wednesday, Feb. 5- 71 degrees
  • Thursday, Feb. 6- 80 degrees
  • Friday, Feb. 7- 80 degrees
  • Saturday, Feb. 8- 88 degrees
  • Sunday, Feb. 9- 55 degrees and 20% chance of rain
  • Monday, Feb. 10- 51 degrees and 50% chance of rain
  • Tuesday, Feb. 11- 50 degrees and 60% chance of rain
