A freezing fog advisory is in effect Saturday morning for parts of North Texas, and drivers should watch out for black ice, officials said.

Temperatures plunged into the low 20s overnight in Fort Worth, causing water still left on the roads after the recent winter storm to freeze. Driving conditions could be hazardous, especially on bridges and overpasses, according to the National Weather Service Fort Worth.

Temperatures will rise throughout the day, with a high of 50 degrees forecast for the Metroplex.

The freezing fog advisory will remain in effect until 9 a.m., according to the NWS. The alert includes Tarrant and Dallas counties and areas to the north and east of the Metroplex.
